Mr. Douglas L. Ward's Cedar Creek Township seat will expire on June 30, 2015. He is employed at Geminus Corporation as a fiscal/contract manager. Mr. Ward has a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Management from Purdue University in West Lafayette; a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Calumet College in Whiting; and a Master of Science degree in taxation from DePaul University in Chicago. He and his wife, Diane, have two children—Lindsay and Stephanie, who both attend Lowell High School.

Mrs. Michelle L. Dumbsky's West Creek Township seat will expire on June 30, 2013. Mrs. Dumbsky is employed by Donald J. Smith, CPA PC as a bookkeeper/tax preparer.  She is a graduate of Highland Senior High School and attended Purdue University Calumet.  Mrs. Dumbsky and her husband, David, have two children—Nicole attends Lowell High School, and Daniel attends Lowell Middle School.

Mr. Jeffery S. Mescal's Eagle Creek Township seat will expire on June 30, 2013.  Mr. Mescal is a senior project controls engineer for Bechtel Corporation.  He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Valparaiso University and an MBA from Indiana University Northwest.  Mr. Mescal and his wife have two children.

Mr. Timothy P. Cottingham's at-large seat expires on June 30, 2015.  Mr. Cottingham resides in West Creek Township and is the Executive Director of GHCS, Inc.  He is a graduate of Lowell High School and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science/Public Administration from Indiana State University.  He and his wife, Melissa, have one child, Jared, who attends Lowell High School.

Mr. Robert G. Martinez' at-large seat expires on June 30, 2015.  Mr. Martinez is a fifteen-year veteran of the Lake County Sheriff's Department.  He is a graduate of Bishop Noll Institute, and he received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Purdue University.  He also graduated from Northwestern University's Management School of Police Staff and Command.  Mr. Martinez and his wife Kathleen have five children.  Four attend Tri-Creek schools.

School Board Meetings: Meetings are held on the second and fourth Thursdays of each month at 7:00 p.m. unless otherwise noted.  Beginning in November 2011 and continuing each month thereafter, the first meeting of each month will be an action meeting, and the second meeting of each month will be a work/study session (no actions taken).
