Tri-Creek School Corporation Board to Fill Vacancy

The Tri-Creek School Corporation Board of School Trustees invites applicants from Eagle Creek Township to apply for an appointment to fill a vacancy on the board. The term of this position on the school board expires on December 31, 2020. After that date, each school board member is elected to a four-year term. Terms are staggered to provide continuity. Members take office on January 1 and terms expire on December 31 of applicable years. School board elections are conducted in November.

To be eligible for this seat, an applicant must have the following minimum qualifications:

- Must live in Eagle Creek Township and have been a resident in Eagle Creek Township for one year;
- Must be a registered voter in the electoral district of legal residence;
- Must be at least 21 years of age;
- Cannot have a felony conviction (IC 3-8-1-5);
- Cannot be a current employee of the school corporation; and
- Cannot hold more than one (1) lucrative office at a time, as provided in Article 2, Section 9 of the Constitution of the State of Indiana (IC 3-8-1-3)

Candidates may pick up the application at the Tri-Creek Administration Center located at 19290 Cline Avenue, Lowell, or download it by clicking the link at the bottom of this page.  Individuals wishing to be considered for the position must have returned the completed application to Deann Serrano (dserrano@tricreek.k12.in.us) at the Tri-Creek Administration Center no later than 4:00 p.m. on Friday, November 30, 2018. The Board anticipates conducting interviews during December and appointing the new member at the Board of School Trustees meeting scheduled for Thursday, January 10, 2019, so he/she may take the oath of office and be seated on that date.
